How I Built a Life on My Terms (And Never Missed a Moment)
Hi there, Mom's and Dad's — I’m Sandy, and I’m living proof that you really can design a life around your family and your dreams.
My work-from-home journey started when I was just 16 years old, teaching piano lessons in my living room. That’s when I first learned something that’s guided me since then — freedom doesn’t come from a paycheck… it comes from choices.
From there, my story got a little wild (in the best way).
I built an entertainment company.
I wrote computer and parenting books.
And yes — my ex husband and I started the "For Dummies" book series (you might’ve heard of it ).
In fact, my parenting book, "Parenting For Dummies" has won many awards and has been translated into 32 languages. So, I've been teaching people how to be great parents for over 30 years.
Over the years, I’ve worn a lot of hats — author, entrepreneur, teacher, business owner, and I even owned a bed-and-breakfast.
But through it all, one thing stayed constant: I never missed a single moment that mattered.
I’ve been there for every school event, every speech competition, every theatrical performance. Because I built my work around my family — not the other way around.
Fast forward to today…
After decades of juggling creativity, business, and family, I’ve finally found something that gives me more time freedom and residual income than anything else I’ve ever done — and I get to help other parents do it too.
Working from home now isn’t about survival.
It’s about design.
I get to help families create stability, flexibility, and income — all while prioritizing health, purpose, and joy.
And let me tell you… it feels amazing to watch other parents and grandparents realize that they don’t have to choose between being present and being prosperous.
